The room was very dated and in need of renovating.
The shower over bath was dangerous due to the height of the step needed to get out. Snotty & lazy receptionist wouldn't arrange for milk to be refreshed(Housekeeping missed it among other things when they serviced the room)So any kind of service seemed non existant - Expecting & directing a paying guest, who was clearly on their way out, to return to the room and make their own arrangements. The worst thing was the constant machine humming noise coming through the ventilation duct. It ran all night and made a good night's sleep impossible. Very shabby on all levels and some serious improvements need to be made.

On one side, the queen size bed was installed only a few centimetres from the wall so that it was difficult to get in & out. There was no bedside table and light on that side. The paint was chipped & the furniture mismatched. The room was in need of refubishment and not 4 star. From the 9th floor the view was blocked by two buildings.

Hotel rooms and bathrooms need renovating. Beds are super comfy. Service friendly. Excellent Italian restaurant. Convenient to Canberra sights.

We hadn a lovely time and the staff were very helpful. Great view of the New Year fire works from our balcony.
